Local Tourism
Far from the crowds, Dambach-la-Ville is a picturesque Medieval town, with fortified ramparts and 3 well-preserved gateways.
It is also one of the biggest wine-making towns in Alsace and, thanks to the hard work of its winegrowers, the Grands Crus du Frankstein are sold worldwide.
During your visit to Dambach-la-Ville, take the time to see the St Sebastian chapel (romanesque and gothic) with fine baroque wooden altar. It has been classified as Monument Historique (Historic monument).
Plunge into the heart of vineyards by following the signposted vineyard trail. It takes about 1h30 to complete. You will see the different steps of the work done in the vineyards and you may even see local winegrowers at work. Admire the fantastic view beyond the vineyards, from the Alsace plain to the Black Forest.
A stay at Le Vignoble in Dambach-la-Ville will enable you to enjoy all the charms of Alsace: calm, authenticity, local flavours, hiking, rambling (GR5 crosses the region). Plus you are never far from all the tourist sites that have made Alsace so famous.
See you soon !
